inTransition Program
The inTransition program is a free, confidential program that offers specialized coaching and assistance for active duty service members, National Guard members, reservists, veterans and retirees who need access to mental health care when:
Relocating to another assignment
Returning from deployment
Transitioning from active duty to reserve component or reserve component to active duty
Preparing to leave military service
Any other time they need a new mental health provider or need a provider for the first time.
Human Performance Resource Center
The Human Performance Resource Center (HPRC) is an online, one-stop source of evidence-based information and key resources to help Warfighters and their families achieve total fitness and, ultimately, human performance optimization (HPO). Optimal performance is more than just being physically active and eating well; it’s a merger of psychological, social, familial, behavioral, nutritional, physical, and environmental fitness—or Total Force Fitness.
National Alliance on Mental Health
Nearly 1 in 4 active duty members showed signs of a mental health condition, according to a 2014 study in JAMA Psychiatry. On this page they focus on questions that military personnel often ask, concerning treatment resources, disclosure and staying healthy during the transition to civilian life. Real Warriors, Real Battles, Real Strength
The Real Warriors Campaign is an initiative launched by the Defense Centers of Excellence for Psychological Health and Traumatic Brain Injury (DCoE) to promote the processes of building resilience, facilitating recovery and supporting reintegration of returning service members, veterans and their families.
The Real Warriors Campaign promotes help-seeking behavior among service members and veterans with invisible wounds and encourages service members to increase their awareness and use of these resources. To reach the broadest audience possible, the campaign features a variety of strategies including outreach and partnerships, print materials, media outreach, an interactive website and social media.
